The Barnstable Land Trust is co-sponsoring a hike of the Sandy Neck Freshwater Wetlands in West Barnstable on Thursday morning, April 24, 2008. Here’s a blurb from its website:
“Join BLT, Sandy Neck Park Manager and naturalist Nina Coleman, and Mass Audubon’s Ian Ives for a one-mile hike focused on exploring barrier beach 'interdunal swales.' Learn about these unique wetlands that function as vernal pools in the spring and are home to many interesting plant and animal species.”
For more information, please see the posting on the Barnstable Land Trust's website.
