HARWICH -- The town’s beach rake was busy Tuesday morning combing the sand at Red River Beach into a flat, pristine surface absent seaweed and shells. Those sections of the beach never looked better.
But there is trouble brewing on the east end of Red River Beach, where neighbors say the efforts of the town’s division of highways and maintenance to build sand dunes using the unwanted seaweed and shells are doing more damage than good. ... ©
