Mashnee Islanders Oppose Expansion of Sailing Program in Bourne Because of Wetland Concerns

Islanders Unite Around Opposition to Sail Program Expansion

Paul Gately reports that Mashnee Island residents have contacted the Bourne Conservation Commission to express their opposition to a local organization's plan to use a tract of open space next to a restaurant for a summer sailing program. The islanders believe the area is a critical wetland and are seeking environmental protection for it. The Conservation Commission disagrees and neighborhood tension is high.
